Terminology

Is it still a pregnancy scare when you are trying to get pregnant? Shouldn't there be another term for it? Like

False hope

Pregnancy tease

A cruel joke

or Just plain $^!++#
(I bleeped that last one because my mom sometimes reads this blog and I don't want to lose her respect)

Any other ideas?

That stinks on ice.

Why are pregnancy test kits sold in packs of two? It seems there are 2 distinct markets for these:

# 1 - Those who are desperate NOT to be pregnant so take the 2nd one just in case it isn't really positive.

# 2 - Those who are desperate to BE pregnant, and hope that all those imagined systoms of pregnancy that everyone else gets are NOT imagined and they didn't get enough pee on the first test stick, so desperately pee in the 2nd stick in vain hope ...

i don't know but each time i've gotten pregnant (all 5 damn times, i gotta knock that off), the predominant feeling i've felt is scared... and we were TRYING to get pregnant.

it's an ominous feeling, either way.

I vote for Just plain $^!++#. Had a few of those myself. The crushing your hope moment never gets any easier.

I think that if we ever manage to get pregnant, I'll just not bother with the kit, for like ever, on the basic Schroedinger's Cat Paradox principle. At least then we'd have some hope for a while... ;p
And I find it kind of funny that the word verification today is 'la dork' :)

I've enjoyed... well... enjoyed?? reading your blog. I can empathize oh so much! We're doing ivf again. went to the dr. yesterday and found out i need surgery AGAIN before we can proceed. Sucks... but the babies are worth it. I've done it all... minus surrogacy... so if you ever want to commiserate sp? let me know!

Heck, you can always buy your kids... that's what we did :)
